Urban Outfitters
Brief
Client Brief
Urban Outfitters was established in 1970 near the University of Pennsylvania, starting as a unique retail experience and rapidly evolving into a community-centric brand. Known for its eclectic and trendy offerings aimed at creative, college-age individuals, Urban Outfitters has expanded significantly both in the U.S. and internationally. The brand emphasizes a connection with their customers through a mix of women’s, men’s, accessories, and home products. Each store is crafted to be a part of the community it serves, often featuring local artists and culture, thus reinforcing its reputation as a creative hub for like-minded individuals.
Challenge
Urban Outfitters faced logistical challenges with their line of travel tins, requiring quick turnaround times for fulfillment. The company also aimed to transition from using silver tins to gold tins for these products, seeking to elevate the customer experience without compromising the quality of the candles. This shift needed to be implemented efficiently to meet ongoing consumer demand while aligning with the brand’s aesthetic evolution and higher quality perception.
Solution
Modern Candle addressed these challenges by inventory management specifically for Urban Outfitters’ needs, ensuring that key components were always in stock. We also actively participated in the brand’s creative process, providing multiple options to achieve their desired new look for the travel tins. Our flexible production capabilities allowed us to meet the quick turnaround times required, ensuring a seamless transition to the new gold tins and maintaining the high-quality standards expected by UrbanOutfitters and their customers.
We efficiently supported Urban Outfitters in enhancing their product offerings while managing rapid production demands, thus strengthening our partnership with a leading lifestyle retailer.
